Robert Rush Riddle

Averageman is Rush’s feature length foray into Hollywood entertainment.

I (Rush) called the L.A.times on Thursday or Friday before the Saturday Mayday Party 40th and talked to an editor. They ended up sending a reporter over on Saturday of the party in the afternoon, cancelling a story they were going to do in Watts. I got together all the old Islanders and present day Islanders for a bull session on the house. The writer wrote a fine article and the photographer took this picture. I loved it. I didn’t even comb my hair.

Robert Rush Riddle, Rush, embodies the unique far-out cool culture of Ellis Island Los Angeles. He’s lived there since the 70s and has been the grandmaster of events and reunions over the years. This is my tribute to him!
